Open Days 16th & 17th July 2023

The open days are aimed at pianists of any age or ability who are interested in exploring the harpsichord, with a view to starting lessons in September 2023.

The event will take place over two days, and potential students are invited to attend one or both of these events.

Friday 16th July:

7:00pm 

FREE entry - pay as you feel at the end.

A short concert given by Andrew Soulsby where he will explain a little about how the harpsichord works and how it differs from the piano. He will then give a short performance of the different types of pieces and composers you might expect to encounter as a harpsichordist.

Saturday 17th July

Venue TBC

10:00am-4:00pm

This will be a series of 1-1 sessions with Andrew where students can get their hands on a harpsichord and try playing it themselves. Pianists are encouraged to bring some music by a suitable compser to try out.
